Blake Schreck was a 4-year letterwinner for the Western baseball team from 1974-78. Schreck earned NAIA All-America, All-Area and All-District honors following his senior season in 1978 and was a key member of the Western team that hosted the 1975 NAIA World Series at Phil Welch Stadium in St. Joseph. Schreck was a member of the 1975 NAIA World Series All-Tournament Team and ended his career as a member of the NAIA National Traveling Team that represented the United States in the countries of Korea and Taiwan in 1978. Schreck recorded a career .308 batting average in 200 games played as a Griffon and his 634 career at bats and 15 triples continue to rank 2nd on the career lists at Western.
