Nick Finn played baseball for Missouri Western from 1972-1975. He came to Missouri Western in 1972 from Jefferson City High School in Jefferson City, Missouri where he was an outstanding left-handed pitcher.

As a freshman in 1972, he recorded six wins and a 1.69 ERA over 12 games and 49 innings. In 1974 and 1975, Nick was the work horse of the Griffon pitching staff throwing 194 innings and recording 16 victories. In 1975, Nick led the Griffons to a 5th place finish in the NAIA College World Series. For his career, Nick had an overall record of 27-15, and ERA of 1.81 with 285 strikeouts in 291 innings.

While at Western, he set single season records in Appearances (19), Starts (15), Most Wins (8), and Most Innings Pitched (97). In his 4-year career at Western you could find his in the record book for Most Wins (27), Saves (15), Strikeouts (285), Innings Pitched (291), Career Starts (55), Complete Games (27) and Shutouts (7). Nicks’ accolades include being named NAIA All-District (1974 and 1975), All-Area (1974 and 1975), and All-America in 1975. In 1975,

Nick entertained an offer from the Kansas City Royals prior to pur suing a career with Xerox, where he has been employed for the past 29 years. Currently, he is the Kansas City Area Sales Manager for Xerox.

Nick and his wife, Lisa, have two wonderful boys, Conner and Nolan.
