Ralph Sauceda, born in Kansas City, Kansas, attended St. JosephJunior College in 1968-69 and played basketball and baseball. Prior to attending junior college, he played baseball at Bishop Ward High School for Doug Minnis (Missouri Western’s first Baseball Coach), and was a member of his first recruiting class in 1970. Ralph was a three-year letter winner in baseball.

Ralph was named to the NAIA All-District, NAIA All-Area, and NAIA ALL-America team in 1971 and 1972 as a third-baseman. Ralph led the Griffons in hitting in 1971 with a .358 average and ended his career with a .336 batting average. After graduation, Ralph worked out with the Oakland A’s.

Ralph spent six years teaching at Harmon High School in Kansas City, Kansas and two years at Argentine Junior High after graduation. He has been working for Hallmark in Kansas City for the past 22 years and currently is in the Human Resource Operations department. He also serves as a spotter for the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ralph and his wife, Sally, have three daughters, Andrea, Nicole, and Kelli.
