Myron Unzicker received his National Athletic Trainers’ Association certification in 1977 and followed his passion on to Missouri Western in ’83 where he has continued to serve for the past 25 years. He teaches in the physical education department to go along with his duties as head athletic trainer for Western athletics.
He is a member of the NATA and the Missouri ATA. He also instructs many American Red Cross CPR and First Aid courses.
Unzicker received his bachelor’s degree in education from Northern Illinois in ’77 and his master’s in physical education from Ball State. He lives in St. Joseph with his wife, Connie, and son Zack. Four of his children attend Missouri Western, Matt, Chelsea, Emily and Will, while his son Travis, attends Missouri S & T.
