Jen Bagley Trotter cemented herself as one of the all-time great coaches in NCAA Division II Softball.  She left MWSU after the 2021 season as she spent 20 years as the head coach of the Griffons and went 676-404.  Her 676 career wins are the most all-time in Missouri Western and MIAA history.

Coach Trotter was named MIAA Coach of the Year four times, led her teams to two MIAA regular season championships and two MIAA Tournament Championships.  She guided the Griffons to 11 NCAA Regional Tournament appearances over her 20 seasons.

Off of the diamond, Coach Trotter was a fantastic leader within the community. She was named the 2016 Woman in the Workplace Award winner by the St. Joseph YWCA for her efforts in leading the young women within her program.

Coach Trotter was also inducted into the Hall of Fame of her alma mater, Minnesota-Moorhead, in 2008 as she remains the career strikeout leader.
