Keith Evans played football for Missouri Western from 1974-1977. He came to Missouri Western in 1974 as a non-recruited linebacker and earned a scholarship before his sophomore season. He was one of Western’s very first “walk on” student-athletes to become a 4-year letterwinner in any sport. Keith’s work ethic
and determination resulted in being named Outstanding Defensive Player in the 1975 Mineral Water Bowl. He went on to became the anchor of a Griffon defense that holds the school record for fewest yards allowed in a season (2,282) in 1976. Keith’s hard work and dedication, on and off the field, earned him the respect of his coaches and teammates as he was named team captain before his senior season (1977). In Keith’s senior season with the Griffons, he was named to the 1st team Central States Intercollegiate Conference (CSIC), 1st team All-District 16, and Honorable Mention All American.

Keith received his degree in Exercise Physiology from Missouri Western in 1979. He continued his studies to obtain a B.S. degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1981 and a master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Georgia State University. Currently he is a second year medical student at Ross University School of Medicine.

Keith, a Missouri native, began practicing physical therapy in his home state in 1981 where he served as the Physical Therapy Director at two hospitals. Later, he moved to Georgia and became Director of Physical Therapy at a local Atlanta hospital. In 1985 he opened his own private physical therapy and sports medicine practice in Atlanta. In 1992 he expanded his practice to include a fitness center to provide the community with a total wellness center. Presently,Keith remains committed to serving the physical therapy and fitness needs in the Atlanta community as the President / Director of the Atlanta Human Performance Center. His rehabilitation services are often recommended to athletes from the high school, college and professional ranks and his residency program is so highly sought after that students from across the nation request physical therapy rotations under his tutelage. Keith is well known for his annual Fitness Extravaganza, a day of fitness education with aerobic activities, a health fair, and fitness evaluations.
