Box Score EDMOND, Okla. - Missouri Western tennis scored a 5-2 win over Ouachita Baptist on Sunday at Edmond Center Court on the University of Central Oklahoma campus.

This gives the Griffons (3-2) their first Central Region victory of the year as well.

Ouachita took two of the three doubles matches to win a point there. MWSU's No. 2 doubles team of Johanna Priedite and Maeva Roguet was victorious in their bout, 7-5.

Missouri Western then swept No. 2 - No. 6 singles. Priedite won her No. 2 match 6-0, 6-3. Celia Castaño Malnero won in No. 3 singles 6-4, 6-4.

Elena Rey Garcia won in No. 4 singles 6-3, 6-4. Roguet won No. 5 singles 6-2, 6-3. Ellie Messenger capped it off with a competitive No. 6 singles bout, winning 6-4, 6-7 and 1-0 (12-10).

Missouri Western comes home to face McKendree on Friday at noon at the Genesis Health Club in St. Joseph.
