Box Score ST. JOSEPH, MO. – Before 2022, Missouri Western tennis hadn't tasted victory over rival Northwest in 37 years. What a difference a few years can make. The Griffons (13-3, 4-2 MIAA) toppled the Bearcats (19-2 overall) for the third time in the last four meetings on Friday at Noyes Courts. 
 
Senior Anais Peralta Criado (Sevilla, Spain) and graduate student Maria Saez (Allicante, Spain) each rallied back from first-set losses to claim three-set victories. Senior Isabella MacGibbon (Brisbane, Australia) was also part of a heart-stopping afternoon/early evening at Noyes Tennis Courts in the home regular-season finale. She captured the first set 7-6, was felled 6-1 in the second set but managed to take home the win and team point 6-2.
 
The Griffons are back in action Thursday, April 25, traveling to Emporia State University. Start time is 2 p.m.
