WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Griffon Women's Golf is tied for 8th out of 13 teams in the MIAA Women's Golf Championship at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg after the second round concluded Tuesday.
MoWest shot a team score of 329 (+49) Tuesday for a two-round total of 647 (+87), tying with Missouri Southern. The Griffs are 40 shots behind first place Washburn.
Ines Vandaele is still the top Griffon on the board, though she slipped into a tie for 16th, shooting a 79 (+9) Tuesday for a two-round score of 155 (+15). Vandaele birdied on holes 5 and 8 Tuesday.
Avery Wells is tied for 29th, shooting an 82 (+12) Tuesday for a total of 160 (+20). She birdied on the second hole.
Makenna Casey is tied for 36th, shooting an 84 (+14) Tuesday for a total score of 164 (+24). Casey birdied on hole 6.
Saya Schweitzer moved up six spots, sitting tied for 45th with an 84 (+14) Tuesday, putting her total to 168 (+28). Lauren Mallow is in 59th. She shot a 91 (+21) Tuesday for a total of 180 (+40).
MoWest will conclude play in the MIAA Championships on Wednesday with the final round teeing off at 8:30 a.m.
