Griffon Baseball picked 10th in 2026 MIAA Preseason Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Griffon Baseball is picked to finish 10th out of 13 teams in the MIAA this season, per the preseason coaches' poll released Friday.

MoWest received 50 total points in the voting, slotted behind Northwest Missouri State in 9th and ahead of 11th place Northeastern State.

Griffon Baseball is set to embark on a new era this season, with first-year head coach Michael Keeran taking over as the fourth head coach in the 56-year history of the program.

Keeran signed 29 new players in the offseason – all transfers. Fourteen of the new players are pitchers.

Griffon Baseball is coming off of a 14-33 record last year with a 12-24 mark in MIAA play. MoWest narrowly missed out on a trip to the MIAA Baseball tournament – something the program hasn't qualified for since 2019.

MoWest opens the 2026 season with a three-game series at Metro State-Denver in Denver, Colorado. The series starts with a doubleheader on Saturday, January 31. The first game in that DH will start at 12 p.m. CT.
