Keeran announces 2026 baseball signing class

Griffons adding 30 transfers for 2026 season.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Missouri Western head baseball coach Michael Keeran has announced his first signing class, adding 30 transfers to the Griffons' roster.

Keeran and his staff have signed 17 transfers from four-year institutions and 13 from the junior college level.

"I think we did a good job with our recruiting class, bringing in guys with experience who have had success and produced at a high level," Keeran said. "We have some physicality that we're excited about. Coach Monroe & Coach O'Donnell did a great job throughout the process. We're looking to make a jump and win right away in year one."

MoWest is ranked in the top three for NCAA Division II portal rankings, according to 64 analytics, while also being ranked inside the top 100 for all four-year schools.

Four-year transfers: Position Players

Micah Kobuszewski (Outfield, Newman University, Senior, 6'1" 210) - Topeka, KS
  • Kobuszewski was an All-Conference MIAA outfielder, hitting .327 with an OPS of .901. He hit .301 with an OPS of .909 with 6 HR's at Butler CC.
Juan Guardado (Catcher, Benedict University, Senior, 6' 210) - La Puente, CA
  • Guardado was an All-Region catcher, hitting .402 with an OPS of 1.515 while hitting 15 HRs and drawing 55 walks.
Miguel Cantu (Infield, Indiana State, Senior, 6'2" 225) - Chicago, IL
  • Cantu saw action for the Sycamores in 2025, batting .254 in 25 total games. He was also a 2x JUCO All-American for Morton CC, hitting .400 in both seasons with 30 career HRs. Cantu also hit over .350 this past summer in the Northwoods League with the Rochester Honkers.
Luke Parmentier (Utility, Alabama State University, Senior, 6'1" 200) - Bethalto, IL
  • Parmentier hit .301 with an OPS of .935 while hitting five HRs. Parmentier was an All- Conference JUCO player at Parkland CC, hitting .371 with 12 HRs. Parmentier also hit three HRs in a game this summer for the Alton River Dragons.
Luke Shannahan (Corner Infield, North Dakota State, Senior, 6'4" 225) - Jacksonville, FL
  • Shannahan saw action for the Bison in 2025, appearing in 11 games in all. In 2024, Shannahan hit .364 for Northern Oklahoma College with 10 HRs and 67 RBIs, and was named a 2nd team All-Conference performer. Shannahan hit over .330 this summer with the Joplin Outlaws.
Jack Mausser (Outfield, Charleston Southern, Senior, 6' 195) - Golden Valley, MN
  • Mausser saw action for the Buccaneers in 2025, batting .250 in 22 games played. In 2024, Mausser hit .395 with 17 HRs for Iowa Central CC and was an All-Conference player there. Mausser has played in the Northwoods League the past two summers.
Isaac Huettl (Catcher, Murray State University, Redshirt Junior, 6'1" 210) – Mandan, ND
  • Huettl saw limited action for the 'College World Series' Racers in 2025. In 2024, Huettl hit .285 with 10 HR's for NIACC. Huettl hit over .300 this summer with 5 HRs for the O'Fallon Hoots.
Ben Waliczek (Infielder, Indiana State, Senior, 5'11" 175) - Wichita, KS
  • Waliczek saw limited action for the Sycamores in 2025. In 2024, Waliczek hit 371 with 56 stolen bases for Pratt CC. In 2023, Waliczek hit 350 with 30 SB's. Waliczek hit 317 this summer with 32 SB's and a 490 OBP for the Moose Jaw Express of the WCBL.
Jordan Austin (Outfielder, Indiana State, Junior, 5'11" 185) - Kansas City, MO
  • Austin spent two seasons with the Sycamores, playing in 19 games in all. Austin was an All-Star in the Appalachian League in 2024, hitting .323 with 15 stolen bases.
Isaac Sobieszcyzk (Corner Infield, Bradley University, Junior, 6'3" 225) - Villa Park, IL
  • Sobieszcyzk started for Bradley in 2024 and saw action in 2025, playing in over 45 games. Sobieszyck was an All-Star this past summer in Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League for the Grand Lake Mariners.
Ricky Requejo (Utility, USAO, Junior, 5'10" 180) - The Woodlands, TX
  • Requejo hit .315 for USAO in 2025, starting in over 50 games. Requejo hit .437 in 2024 with Northern Oklahoma College while having an OPS of 1.080, starting in 50 games.

Two-year transfers: Position Players

Seth Winkler (Infield, Lincoln Land CC, Junior, 5'11" 200) - St. Charles, IL
  • Winkler was an All-Conference infielder while hitting .320 with 13 HRs in 2025 with an OPS of 1.009. Winkler was named a NJCAA
David De Hoyos (Infield, Amarillo CC, Junior, 6'3" 210) - San Antonio, TX
  • De Hoyos was an All-Conference infielder while hitting .348 with 23 HRs and a 1.155 OPS in his two-year career. De Hoyos played for Seguin in the TCL for summer collegiate baseball.
Amarion Paxton (Outfield, Kankakee CC, Junior, 6'4" 235) - Ashkum, IL
  • Paxton was an All-Region outfielder while hitting .320 with 11 HRs and 33 stolen bases in 2025. In 2024 Paxton hit 295 with 9 HR's and 13 stolen bases. Paxton played in the Prospect League this summer.
Dylan Coty (Outfield, Kankakee CC, Junior, 6' 185) - Hammond, IN
  • Coty was an All-Region outfielder while hitting .335 with 42 stolen bases, which broke a school record. In 2024, Coty hit .320 with 25 stolen bases.
Reece Bariola (Utility, Arkansas Mountain Home, Sophomore, 6'1" 200) - Rogers, AR
  • Bariola hit .340 with eight HRs for the Trailblazers in 2025 with an OPS of 1.033. Bariola played for the Joplin Outlaws this summer, hitting over 350.

Four-year transfers: Pitchers

Jake Pemble (LHP, Bradley University, Senior, 6' 200) - Johnston, IA
  • Pemble pitched in 10 games for Bradley in 2025. At Kirkwood CC, Pemble was 7-5, pitching in 24 games while having an ERA of 4.29 and a WHIP of 1.17.
Sebastian Gutierrez (RHP, Northern Illinois, Senior, 6' 205) - Westchester, IL
  • Gutierrez pitched for the Huskies in 2025, appearing in three total games. In 2024 at Morton CC, Gutierrez struck out 81 batters in 53 innings while having a record of 4-3. In 2023 at Parkland CC, Gutierrez struck out 51 batters in 30 innings.
Tanner Mueller (RHP, Western Kentucky, Junior, 6'6" 210) - Wentzville, MO
  • Mueller medically redshirted in 2025. In 2024, Mueller pitched for St. Charles CC, striking out 40 batters in 20 innings and recording two saves.
Jackson Parrill (RHP, Lindenwood University, Senior, 6'1" 210) - Maryville, IL
  • Parrill saw limited action for Lindenwood in 2025, pitching in three total games. At Lewis and Clark CC, Parrill pitched 86 innings, striking out 132 batters. Parrill was 3-1 this summer for the Alton River Dragons, leading the Prospect League in strikeouts with 53 in the regular season, while being an All-Star in the Prospect League.
Lawson Minshew (RHP, Illinois State University, Junior, 6'1" 205) - Lakeside, CA
  • Minshew pitched in a combined 15 games for the Redbirds in 2024 and 2025.
Will Kiburis (RHP, Upper Iowa University, Sophomore, 6'4" 190) - Reinbeck, IA
  • Kiburis pitched in 10 games for the Peacocks in 2025 while having a record of 4-0 with a save. Kiburis pitched for the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods league this summer. Kiburis is also a member of the MWSU men's basketball team.

Two-year transfers: Pitchers

Parker Otte (RHP, Iowa Central CC, Junior, 6'4" 220) - Lincoln, NE
  • Otte was an All-Conference pitcher in 2025, striking out 19 batters in 21 innings. Otte had a record of 2-0 with a save.
Ben Ayala (RHP, Southeast CC, Junior, 6'2" 200) - Elkhorn, NE
  • Ayala started his baseball career at Creighton University before transferring to Southeast CC. Ayala threw in 23 games in his JUCO career with a record of 6-2 while striking out 66 hitters in 50 innings.
Noah Turner (RHP, Amarillo CC, Junior, 6'5" 205) - Portland, TX
  • Turner threw in 28 games in his Amarillo career with a record of 3-4, striking out 75 hitters in 80 innings.
Cole Evans (RHP, Cisco CC, Junior, 6'1" 190) - Lake St. Louis, MO
  • Evans pitched for Cisco CC in 2025. In 2024 at East Central CC, Evans was an All-Region pitcher with a 7-5 record. Evans struck out 40 hitters in 50 innings. Evans pitched for the Sherman Shadowcats this summer.
Cale Coursey (RHP, Parkland CC, Junior, 6'2" 205) - Crawfordsville, IN
  • Coursey pitched in 23 games in his JUCO career, starting 7. Coursey had a 5-5 record, striking out 44 hitters in 55 innings.
Evan Peterson (RHP, Indian Hills CC, Junior, 6'2" 190) - Longmont, CO
  • Peterson pitched in 14 games in 2025 with a 2-0 record, striking out 23 hitters in 29 innings.
Cam Saleh (RHP, Kaskaskia CC, Junior, 6'2" 210) - Denton, TX
  • Saleh pitched in 15 games in 2025 with a 1-1 record with one save while having the closer role for the Blue Devils.
Jordan La Tour (RHP, Iowa Central CC, Junior, 6'3" 215) - Shakopee, MN
  • La Tour pitched in 15 games in his JUCO career. La Tour was part of a 2025 NJCAA World Series team.
