ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon women's golf sits in 13^th place after the first round of the MWSU Women's Holiday Inn Express Invitational at St. Joseph Country Club on Monday.

MoWest shot a team score of 328 (+40), sitting three shots outside of the top ten and 20 shots behind first place team Southwestern Oklahoma State. There are 19 total teams in the field.

Ines Vandaele is the top Griffon in the field thus far, tying for 26^th with a first-round of 79 (+7). She birdied on hole 14.

Saya Schweitzer is close behind, tied for 32^nd with an 80 (+8). She birdied the second hole.

Avery Wells sits in 64^th with an 84 (+12). Makenna Casey is 72^nd with an 85 (+13), while Raleigh Puzio is 81^st at an 87 (+15).

MoWest will wrap up play in the Holiday Inn Express Invitational on Tuesday with the second and final round teeing off at 9 a.m.
