EDMOND, Okla. - Griffon women's golf sits in sixth place, and
Saya Schweitzer is tied for fourth after the first round of the Grace Shin Invitational at the Golf Club of Edmond.
MoWest shot a team score of 300 (+16), sitting just one shot back of fifth place Southwestern Oklahoma State and two strokes back from fourth place Northwest. Central Missouri is in first with an even par score of 284 in a field of 19 teams.
Schweitzer, coming off of a win the week prior in the Newman Invitational, played a strong first round Monday, shooting a 70 (-1). She birdied on holes 1, 9, 15 and 17.
Avery Wells is tied for 27th with a 75 (+4).
Raleigh Puzio is right behind, tied for 37th with a 76 (+5). Puzio birdied three times on the back nine.
Ines Vandaele is in 56th with a 79 (+8), and
Makenna Casey sits in 63rd with an 81 (+10).
