WARRENSBURG, Mo. — The MoWest Women's Golf team placed ninth at the Midwest Classic, hosted by Central Missouri at Mules National Golf Club. The Griffons carded a three-round team score of 914 (+74) in a field that featured 14 programs, including 13 from the MIAA.
Ines Vandaele led the way for MWSU with another top-10 finish, placing tied for seventh at 218 (+8). Vandaele delivered a strong final round highlighted by birdies on holes six, 10, 17, and 18 to secure her spot inside the top 10.
Raleigh Puzio followed in a tie for 31st with a 229 (+19), while
Avery Wells finished tied for 40th at 233 (+23).
Saya Schweitzer tied for 47th at 235 (+25), and
Makenna Casey rounded out the lineup tied for 55th at 238 (+28).
Competing individually,
Emma Spurlin placed 84th with a 266 (+56).
Central Missouri claimed the team title at +31, followed by Arkansas Tech at +40 and Rogers State at +48.
MoWest will close out its fall schedule next week when the Griffons host the MWSU Central Region Preview on October 20–21 at St. Joseph Country Club.
