ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Women's Golf opened play at the 2026 NCAA Division II Central Regional on Monday at St. Joseph Country Club, competing in an 18-team field.
MoWest is sitting in 14th place and posted a team score of 325 (+37) in round one, sitting in the middle of a tightly packed leaderboard on the par-72 course.
Ines Vandaele led the Griffons with a 79 (+7), placing T-24 individually. Saya Schweitzer followed with an 80 (+8), sitting T-36, while Makenna Casey added an 81 (+9) to place T-45.
Lauren Mallow carded an 85 (+13) to sit T-79, and Avery Wells finished with an 86 (+14), placing T-87 to round out the lineup.

The Griffons return to St. Joseph Country Club on Tuesday, May 5 for round two of the NCAA Central Regional, looking to make a move up the leaderboard. Tee times for MWSU begin at 8:50 a.m. with Lauren Mallow, followed by Makenna Casey at 9:00 a.m., Avery Wells at 9:10 a.m., Saya Schweitzer at 9:20 a.m., and Ines Vandaele at 9:30 a.m.
