ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The "best seats in the house" will be the newest seats in the house in 2024.
 
Missouri Western Athletics recently completed a minor renovation to Spratt Stadium, replacing 138 chairback seats in the reserved areas and stadium club areas.
 
All 138 new seats are gold in color, providing a fresh and colorful "pop" to Spratt.
 
"Details are important," Director of Athletics Andy Carter said.
 
"With our skybox suites completely filled and as our Gold Coat Stadium Club membership continues to grow, we felt it was prudent to use some of the revenue generated to upgrade our premium seat area."
 
Carter says there is more to come.
 
"As we enter into the coming fiscal year, we will be performing a full-scale master facilities plan for the future of our athletics department to determine the next steps on improvements."
 
Griffon Football opens the 2024 season on August 29th at Northeastern State. The new seats will be put to use for the home opener on Saturday, September 14th.
