ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The single-biggest fundraiser for Griffon Athletics is back again this year, as the 24th Annual YWCA Griffon Classic weekend is set for Saturday, July 11 and Monday, July 13.

The festivities begin on July 11 with the annual "Meet the Griffs" dinner, social and live auction hosted by InspireU Children's Discovery Center at 521 Felix Street in downtown St. Joseph.

Doors open that evening at 5pm with a cocktail hour on the rooftop patio. Dinner follows at 6 and the live auction will start at about 7:15.

Several activities highlight this fun evening, including dinner, drink specials, a raffle drawing, along with a live and silent auction. Auction items have included in past years autographed sports memorabilia, game day and event experiences, golf trips, vacations, MWSU-themed items, pub décor and more.

More details on this year's auction items will be published at a later date.

The YWCA Griffon Golf Classic commences on Monday, July 13 at St. Joseph Country Club with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Each person playing in the tournament receives two complimentary tickets to the "Meet the Griffs" dinner and auction.
