ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Announced by Griffon Athletics and Peak Sports MGMT this week, Donnie Fox is now the new general manager of Griffon Sports Properties.
Fox takes over for former General Manager Evan Wolf, who left for new opportunities back home in St. Louis, Missouri, this past May. Joining the Missouri Western family as an account executive in late January of this year, Fox takes the reins of the sales and marketing office after getting the nod of approval from Peak Sports and MWSU Director of Athletics Andy Carter.
"As one of the youngest in our athletic department, Donnie is also one of the best and brightest in the business right now," Carter said. "He's been a huge asset in our Peak Sports office ever since he started and has quickly risen through the ranks, seamlessly taking command in the process. We're thrilled to have him now leading Griffon Sports Properties."
"I want to thank
Zach Vos and
Wesley Abercrombie and the rest of the Peak Sports Leadership team for their constant support, guidance and coaching," Fox said. "I also want to thank
Paul Smith and Andy Carter for their support during this transition. Finally, I can't thank
Evan Wolf enough for his insight and mentorship during his time at Missouri Western with me."
Peak Sports officially announced Fox's promotion on Wednesday, signaling a new era for Griffon Sports Properties.
"I'm ecstatic to continue my journey here at Missouri Western as there are several exciting plans laid out for the coming years within the athletic department! "Fox exclaimed. "I'm also thrilled to continue building positive relationships and experiences for current and prospective partners alike. I'm truly excited about becoming a fully integrated and long-standing St. Joseph community member!"
