Soccer picked fourth in 2026 MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced the results of its preseason coaches poll for the 2026 women's soccer season, with Griffon Soccer picked fourth in the conference.

MoWest received 108 points in the preseason poll. Washburn topped the poll with seven first-place votes and 138 points, followed by Pittsburg State with six first-place votes and 136 points. Central Missouri was picked third with 119 points.

The Griffons enter 2026 after finishing last season with a 12-3-7 overall record and a 6-2-4 mark in MIAA play. MoWest capped the season by capturing its first MIAA Women's Soccer Postseason Tournament championship in program history and earning a trip to the NCAA Central Regional.

The Griffons will also carry an impressive home unbeaten streak into the 2026 season. MoWest enters the year unbeaten in its last 21 matches at Spratt Stadium, posting a 16-0-5 record at home during the streak.
