SEWARD, Neb. – Griffon Track & Field competed Friday at the Concordia Twilight Meet, posting several strong performances.
Kayden Crigger led the way on the track with a third-place finish in the men's 1500m, crossing the line in 3:56.37. In the men's 3000m steeplechase, Usman Tufa recorded a sixth-place finish with a time of 9:42.51.
In the field events, Maddison McMillian turned in one of the top performances of the day for the Griffons, placing third in the women's javelin with a throw of 40.63m (133-03).
Dawson Miller competed in three throwing events for MoWest, highlighted by a fourth-place finish in the men's javelin with a mark of 49.90m (163-08). Miller also placed fifth in the shot put at 14.12m (46-04.00) and finished 14th in the hammer throw with a toss of 45.76m (150-01).
Tate Youtsey added a ninth-place finish in the men's javelin at 47.27m (155-01), while Jackson Sigrist recorded a mark of 35.27m (115-08) to place 12th in the event.
