ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - October is
Breast Cancer Awareness Month and MoWest Athletics is proud to host its 17th Annual "Pink Weekend" October 3-5.
Attending this weekend's Griffon soccer, football and volleyball games gives fans a chance to grab an exclusive, pink MWSU Athletics t-shirt.
Shirts are available to fans for a minimum donation of $10. The proceeds stay local and go directly to the Mosaic Life Care Breast Cancer Center.
A limited number of t-shirts will be available at the games this weekend. Any remaining shirts will be available at the MWSU Athletics offices in the Griffon Indoor Sports Complex starting Monday, October 6 while supplies last.
Not only is it Homecoming Weekend, but this slew of events is part of a weekend-long celebration to commemorate 50 years of Women's Athletics at Missouri Western State University.

- 12:00 pm – Softball Scrimmage v. Highland Community College (Spring Sports Complex)
- 1:00 pm – Volleyball vs. Fort Hays State (MWSU Fieldhouse)
- 3:30 pm – Homecoming Parade (Downs Drive)
- 4:00 pm – 50 Years of Women's Sports Tailgate (Bill Snyder Pavilion); Alumni Tailgate (near Baker Fitness Center)
- 6:00 pm – Football vs. Emporia State University (Spratt Stadium)
- Halftime: 50 Years of Women's Athletics Recognition on the field
Sunday, October 5th
