LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Missouri Western pitcher
Sydney Rader has received a 2025 NCAA Division II Rawlings Gold Glove Award, presented by the NFCA.
Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. revealed the nine recipients of the prestigious Gold Glove Award on Thursday.
Rader just finished a historic senior season, for which she earned first team all-MIAA recognition, as well as NFCA and D2CAA All-Region accolades.
Rader led the MIAA this past season in wins (21), starts (29), complete games (27), shutouts (10), innings pitched (198.2) and strikeouts (188). She ranked third in the league in ERA (1.83) fourth with a .205 opponent batting average.
As for her fielding numbers, Rader recorded a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 12 putouts and 47 assists, committing no errors in 59 total chances. She recorded two double plays and caught a pair of runners stealing.
Nationally, Rader ranked seventh in wins (21), tied for first in complete game (27), tied for fourth in shutouts (10), 11
th in innings pitched (198.2) and 20
th in strikeouts (188).

Rader helped lead the Griffons to 32 wins this season under first-year head coach

Recipients of the Rawlings Gold Glove Award were selected by the NFCA's NCAA Division II All-America Committee, following regional voting to identify the finalists at each position. The group utilized fielding statistics and school-submitted video to closely examine finalists and select the winners at every defensive position.
Any student-athlete that competed in the current championship year, and was nominated by their head coach who's a member in good standing with the NFCA, was eligible for consideration for this prestigious accolade.
