KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) announced its 2025 Softball MIAA Academic Awards on Thursday, and Missouri Western had 14 student-athletes named to the list.
The following players achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher and were recognized on the Academic Honor Roll:
Mackenzie DeVine,
Lina Delgado,
Myah Dwyer,
Ashlyn Finarty,
Makenzie Garr,
Kalee Higdon,
Ashlyn Hoeft,
Bubba Hoelscher,
Taylor Jones,
Kennedy Preston,
Harley Pruetting,
Sydney Rader,
Sarah Swallow and
Kate Voisin.
Jones, an All-MIAA Gold Glove Outfielder, and Rader, an All-MIAA First Team and Gold Glove Pitcher, received the Scholar Athlete Award for obtaining a minimum GPA of 3.5.
Additionally, the Griffs led the league with four Academic Excellence honorees, as DeVine, Higdon, Pruetting and Rader each recorded a 4.00 GPA.
