Griffon Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field teams both tied for ninth in MIAA preseason rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA) has released its 2025–26 Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Preseason Coaches' Poll, with MoWest tied for ninth place in the conference. The men earned 13 points to match Rogers State, while the women collected 24 points, tying Emporia State.

The track and field indoor season will kick off on Saturday, December 6 in Maryville, Missouri at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic hosted by Northwest Missouri State University. Both the men's and women's Griffons teams will be competing.

Pittsburg State will host its 2026 MIAA Indoor Track and Field Championships February 27 through March 1 inside the Gorillas' Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. The 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships are scheduled for March 13-14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia.
