ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Wimach Gilo etched his name into Griffon Cross Country history, placing seventh at the NCAA Central Region Championships to become MoWest's first-ever national championship qualifier.
Gilo was officially announced as a Men's Individual Qualifier on November 10, 2025, after leading the Griffons with a time of 30:45.70, setting a new program 10K record that surpassed Riley Gorham's 2022 mark of 30:49.3 at the NCAA Central Region Championships on November 8, 2025.
In addition to his historic qualification, Gilo was named an All-Region honoree for the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country season, as recognized by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the Regional Championships.
He will now represent MoWest at the NCAA Division II National Championships on November 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
