Wimach Gilo to become the first runner in program history to compete at NCAA DII Championship

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Wimach Gilo will make history on November 22 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, becoming the first MoWest cross country runner to compete at the NCAA DII Cross Country Championships. He punched his ticket by placing seventh at the NCAA Central Region Championships, earning a Men's Individual Qualifier spot announced on November 10, 2025.

Gilo led the Griffons with a 10K time of 30:45.70, breaking Riley Gorham's 2022 program record of 30:49.3 during the regional meet on November 8. His performance also secured All-Region honors from the USTFCCCA for the 2025 NCAA Division II Cross Country season.

The NCAA Div. II National Championships will take place at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin, with the women's 6K race starting at 10 a.m. and the men's 10K scheduled for 11:15 a.m. All meet information, including live video, tickets, live results, the championship page, box assignments, and the full championship program, will be available on GoGriffons.com.
