ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Griffon Women's Golf tied for 14th in a field of 19 teams at the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Invitational at St. Joseph Country Club.
The Griffons shot a team score of 328 (+40) in each round for a two-day total of 656 (+80), finishing just seven shots outside of the top 10. Southwestern Oklahoma State took first with a score of 616 (+40).
Ines Vandaele carded the highest score for MoWest, finishing tied for ninth overall with a two-day score of 156 (+12). She shot a 77 (+5) on Tuesday, improving by two strokes over her first round. She birdied on 18 to end her final round.
Saya Schweitzer tied for 42nd with a two-round total of 164 (+20). She birdied her first hole Tuesday.
Avery Wells and
Raleigh Puzio tied for 72nd, shooting a two-round total of 169 (+25). Puzio improved by five strokes in her second round, birdying on hole 8 Tuesday.
Makenna Casey tied for 85th with a 173 (+29).
