WICHITA, Ks. – Griffon Track & Field saw multiple outdoor program records fall and reset while also fine-tuning personal bests during this week's K.T. Woodman Classic at Wichita State.
Riley Gorham took second in the men's 1,500-meter race with a finish of 3:55.99, beating out his old time of 3:59.86 set in 2019. Gorham also hit a two-for-one special in the 800-meter race and broke
Derek Dixon's record of 1:56.33, finishing seventh overall with a new program-best time of 1:55.43.
Bailey Gilbert took second in the women's triple jump with a bound of 12.10 meters, shattering Julia Odir's mark of 11.93 in 2019.
Jordan Garr grabbed MWSU's only first-place in finish with a throw of 17.58 meters in round two of the men's shot put. The indoor All-American also broke his own school record and also earned another provisional mark in the hammer throw thanks to his 57.12-meter heave to take fifth place. His previous record of 54.50 set in 2019.

Hanna Williams took third in the women's 400 with a lap time of 54.78 seconds, missing her own school record time of 54.69. This is also lowers her provisional qualifying time. She also took seventh in the 200m, finishing in 24.67 seconds.
Aneesa Abdul-Hameed's time of 25.76 earned her 26th in the 200 and set a new personal record.
Carlie Bradshaw threw career-best of 35.37 meters in the women's javelin and took 17th out of 25.
Tyler Meadows also improved his 800-meter time, clocking in at 2:09.53.
Abby Kinney reset her personal best in the women's 5000 with a run of 20:04.61.
Madison Nash came in second place in the 10,000-meter race, tallying a time of 36:07.43.
Madison Roumph's long-jump leap of 5.66 was good enough to earn her third place.

Both squads head to the Mule Relays this Friday, March 15 in Warrensburg, Missouri, their second-to-last event before the MIAA Outdoor Championship.
