ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Volleyball moved into the top 10 of the latest AVCA/Taraflex Division II Women's Volleyball Poll, climbing one spot to No. 10 in the rankings released Monday.
MoWest received 716 points in the Sept. 7 poll and enters the week with a 7-1 overall record. The Griffons were ranked No. 11 in the previous national poll.
The No. 10 ranking marks another straight week that Griffon Volleyball has reached the highest national ranking in program history.
MWSU is one of five MIAA programs ranked inside the national top 25. Washburn leads the conference at No. 4, followed by Nebraska Kearney at No. 7 and MoWest at No. 10. Central Oklahoma checks in at No. 22, while Emporia State is ranked No. 25. Central Missouri also received votes.
Ferris State holds the No. 1 spot, followed by Tampa at No. 2 and Wayne State (Neb.) at No. 3.

No. 10 Griffon Volleyball stays home this weekend to host the 2026 Holiday Inn Express Griffon Volleyball Invitational at the MWSU Fieldhouse.
MoWest opens the tournament Friday, Sept. 11, against Arkansas Tech at 10:30 a.m. before facing Illinois Springfield at 6 p.m. The Griffons close the weekend Saturday, Sept. 12, against McKendree at 5 p.m.
