LEXINGTON, Ky. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association released its latest AVCA-Taraflex Division II Women's Volleyball Poll on Monday, with Griffon Volleyball climbing five spots to No. 11, marking the highest national ranking in program history.

MoWest received 600 points in the Aug. 31 poll after opening the 2026 season with a perfect 4-0 record at the Bahama House Classic in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Griffons entered the season tied for No. 16 in the AVCA preseason poll before making the five-spot jump to their highest ranking ever in the AVCA national poll.

The Griffons picked up victories over St. Edward's, host Embry-Riddle, Florida Southern and Florida Tech during opening weekend. MoWest dropped just two sets across its four matches, including a pair of straight-set victories, to return home unbeaten.

MoWest is one of five MIAA programs ranked in the latest AVCA Top 25. Washburn leads the conference at No. 6 after a 4-0 start, while Nebraska-Kearney sits at No. 8 with a 3-1 record.

The Griffons follow at No. 11, while Central Oklahoma is ranked No. 15. Central Missouri moved into the Top 25 and is tied for No. 25. Emporia State also received votes in the latest poll with 36 points.

St. Cloud State took over the No. 1 ranking after a 4-0 opening weekend, marking the first No. 1 ranking in program history. Wayne State (Neb.) moved to No. 2, followed by Concordia-St. Paul, Tampa and Ferris State to round out the top five.
