Amber Dunn named new Sports Performance Coach

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – MoWest Athletics has announced the hiring of Amber Dunn as Sports Performance Coach. Dunn joined the Griffons in July 2026 after serving as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Texas Permian Basin.

At MoWest, Dunn will oversee sports performance for the Griffon lacrosse and soccer programs while serving as an assistant with the football program.

Dunn brings experience at both the NCAA Division I and Division II levels, designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs while working with football, softball, soccer, swimming and diving, women's basketball, and baseball student-athletes.

Before UTPB, Dunn gained Division I experience as a Sports Performance and Sports Science Intern at the University of Texas and worked with the University of Oregon Football program as a Sports Science Intern. She also spent time with Spellman Performance, helping prepare athletes for the NFL Combine, and coached at Athletic Culture in San Diego.

Dunn earned a bachelor's degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon and a master's degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sports Psychology from the University of Texas Permian Basin. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
