ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – College Sports Communicators announced the 2026 Academic All-District® Cross Country/Track & Field Teams, with five Griffon student-athletes earning recognition for their achievements in the classroom and in competition.
Leading the way for MoWest was
Makenzie Garr, who earned CSC Academic All-District® honors and was also selected as a CSC Academic All-America® finalist, advancing to the national ballot for consideration for Academic All-America® recognition. Joining Garr on the women's team were Abigail Kinney and
Abbey Henry, while
Usman Tufa and
Mason Orscheln represented the Griffons on the men's side.
The CSC Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their success both academically and athletically. Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with the men's Academic All-America® teams scheduled to be announced on July 14 and the women's teams on July 15.
The five Griffons played key roles for MoWest Cross Country and Track & Field throughout the 2025-26 season while excelling in the classroom. Their selections continue the program's tradition of academic and athletic excellence.
