ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – MoWest Athletics has promoted Ryan Frazer to Associate Athletic Trainer.

Frazer has served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at MWSU since 2023 and will take on additional responsibilities in his new role.

"I am extremely grateful for Rachel having the confidence in me to take on increased responsibilities and to develop more of a leadership role in serving our student-athletes at MWSU," Frazer said. "I have deep roots in St. Joseph and at MWSU, and I am excited to continue to work with the best sports medicine staff in the MIAA."

A St. Joseph native, Frazer attended Bessie Ellison Elementary, Bode Middle School, and graduated from Central High School. He began working with MWSU's Sports Medicine staff as a student athletic training aide from 2013-16 while earning his bachelor's degree in Health and Exercise Science from MWSU in 2015.

Frazer earned his Master's in Athletic Training from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2018 and later spent the 2022-23 academic year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Highland Community College before returning to MWSU in 2023.

Frazer's promotion continues a long connection with MWSU, where he first started working with Griffon student-athletes more than a decade ago.
