GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators announced the 2026 Academic All-District® Softball Teams on Tuesday, May 26, as five Griffon Softball student-athletes earned Academic All-District honors.

MoWest student-athletes Kalee Higdon, Harley Pruetting, Ashlyn Finarty, Ayva McComas, and Torie Sandoval were all recognized for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined accomplishments in athletics and academics. The Academic All-America® program honors student-athletes across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA competition.

To be eligible for Academic All-District® honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher while meeting competition requirements. Position players must compete in at least 90 percent of their team's games or start in at least 66 percent of contests played. Pitchers must make at least 17 appearances or pitch a minimum of 35 innings during the season.
