ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Softball earned multiple academic honors from the MIAA for the 2026 season, with 11 student-athletes recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom.
Kalee Higdon and
Harley Pruetting earned the MIAA Academic Excellence Award after posting perfect 4.00 grade-point averages in Marketing and Forensic Investigations, respectively.
Higdon and Pruetting also received MIAA Scholar-Athlete recognition alongside
Ashlyn Finarty and
Ayva McComas. The Scholar-Athlete award recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.
The Griffons placed 11 student-athletes on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, including

Ayva McComas,
Lauren Newlin,
Harley Pruetting,
Sienna Reed,
