MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. – Griffon Women's Golf finished in 10th place at the Spring Regional Preview at Shangri-La Resort with a three-round total of 938 (+74).
MoWest opened the tournament with a 329 (+41) in round one before making a strong improvement in round two, carding a 301 (+13). The Griffons closed the event with a 308 (+20) in the final round to secure their top-10 finish.
Saya Schweitzer led MoWest posting a 76 (+4) in round three to go with a 74 (+2) in round two and an 81 (+9) in round one, finishing at 231 (+15), tied for 37th overall.
Makenna Casey fired a 78 (+6) in round three after a 76 (+4) in round two and a 78 (+6) in round one, finishing with a 232 (+16), tied for 39th overall.
Ines Vandaele carded a 75 (+3) in round three after a 74 (+2) in round two and an 89 (+17) in round one, finishing at 238 (+22), tied for 57th overall.
Avery Wells recorded an 80 (+8) in round three to pair with a 77 (+5) in round two and an 82 (+10) in round one, finishing at 239 (+23), tied for 59th overall.
Lauren Mallow added a 79 (+7) in round three after a 78 (+6) in round two and an 88 (+16) in round one, finishing at 245 (+29), tied for 75th overall.
What's Next
Griffon Women's Golf takes a week off from competition before returning to action at the MIAA Women's Golf Championship, scheduled for April 20–22 at Mules National Golf Club in Warrensburg, Missouri.
