Lacrosse set for GLVC tournament match vs. No. 1 seed UIndy

Griffs competing in GLVC tournament for fourth straight season.

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Grffion Lacrosse (8-7, 4-3 MIAA) is back in the GLVC tournament for a fourth consecutive season.

MoWest, the No. 4 seed, will rematch No. 1 seed Indianapolis (15-1, 7-0 GLVC) on Friday at 12 p.m. Central from Kiesel Field at Key Stadium on the UIndy campus.

The match is available to watch on the Great Lakes Valley Conference Sports Network (GLVCSN.com) with a subscription.

The winner will face either No. 2 seed Maryville or No. 3 seed Rockhurst in the GLVC Championship slated for Sunday, May 3 at 11 a.m. central. That too will be played at UIndy's Key Stadium, as the highest seed in the tournament gets to host.

The Griffons are in the GLVC tournament yet again after finishing above .500 in the regular season for a fourth year in a row.

History with the Hounds
This marks the third time in four seasons that MWSU will see UIndy in the GLVC tournament. The Greyhounds and Griffons did battle in two other semifinal matches - at Indianapolis in 2023 and in St. Louis in 2024. Both games were competitive, but the Greyounds won 15-9 in 2023 and 11-5 in 2024.

UIndy bested MoWest earlier this season with a 19-5 win in St. Joseph on Friday, April 24. The Griffons seek their first ever win over UIndy in what will be the ninth all-time meeting with the Greyhounds.
