BOLIVAR, Mo. -
Ines Vandaele came home tied for fifth, while Griffon Women's Golf finished fifth as a team at the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar Wednesday.
MoWest finished with a team score of 668 (+92) - five shots ahead of sixth place Newman and seven strokes behind fourth place Northeastern State. Central Missouri won the event with a 623 (+47).
Vandaele shot an 80 (+8) on Wednesday for a two-round score of 155 (+11). She birdied on 17 and parred eight holes in her final round.
Lauren Mallow turned in a career-best 21st place finish with a two-round score of 167 (+23). She parred on 16 of her 36 holes this week.
Saya Schweitzer tied for 33rd with a total of 173 (+29).
Makenna Casey and
Avery Wells tied for 37th with a 175 (+31).
Emma Spurlin was scored as an individual and finished with a 169 (+25), tying her for 27th on the leaderboard.
Women's golf is back in action March 23-24 at the Firekeeper Open at the Firekeeper Golf Course and Resort in Mayetta, Kansas.
