EDMOND, Okla. - Griffon Men's Golf sits in 11th place after the first round of the Oak Tree Inviational at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond. There are 18 total teams in the field.
The Griffons have a team score of 306 (+26) after one round - 19 shots behind first place West Texas A&M. Meanwhile,
Tim Johnston, who's competing as an individual, is tied for second place on the player leaderboard with a first-round score of 71 (+1). Johnston birdied on holes 1, 4, 8 and 11.
Parker Boggins is tied for 21st with a first-round score of 75 (+5), birdying on 4 and 15.
Tommy McDowell is close behind in 30th with a score of 76 (+6). McDowell got off to a hot start, birdying four of his first five holes.
Aiden Asby sits 44th with a 77 (+7).
Ethan Mustard and
Bennett Berger are tied for 55th with a 78 (+8). Berger birdied three times on the back nine.
The second and final round of the Oak Tree Invitational tees off on Tuesday.
