KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its volleyball athletes of the week for week five of the 2026 season, with MoWest's Anna Weberg earning MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this season.
Weberg anchored the Griffon defense during a 2-0 MIAA road weekend, recording 42 digs across eight sets for an average of 5.25 digs per set. She posted 21 digs in the 3-1 victory at (RV) Central Missouri before adding another 21 digs in the 3-1 win at Missouri Southern.
Weberg also finished the weekend with nine assists and posted a .960 reception percentage across 25 reception attempts.
The honor marks Weberg's second MIAA Defensive Athlete of the Week award of the 2026 season.
