ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – Griffon Softball has released its 2026 schedule, featuring a full slate of nonconference tournaments, MIAA competition, and a strong home schedule at Griffon Softball Field.
The Griffons open the 2026 season with back-to-back neutral-site weekends in Texas, beginning Jan. 30–Feb. 1 in Mansfield, Texas, at the Lone Star D2 College Classic. Over the opening weekend, MoWest will face Harding, Drury, Texas Woman's, Colorado School of Mines, Texas A&M–Kingsville, and St. Edward's.
The road stretch continues Feb. 6–8 in San Angelo, Texas, at the McCorkle Challenge hosted by Angelo State, with matchups against Texas A&M International, Angelo State, and Ouachita Baptist.
Neutral-site play continues with the D2 Battle at Branson on Feb. 13–14 in Branson, Missouri, where the Griffons will take on Maryville, Southern Nazarene, Quincy, and Southwest Baptist.
The final nonconference tournament, the Midwest College Classic, is set for Feb. 27–March 1 in Kansas City, Missouri, featuring games against Winona State, Minnesota State Moorhead, Bemidji State, Concordia–St. Paul, Minnesota State Mankato, and Quincy.
MoWest opens its home schedule on Saturday, March 7, with a doubleheader against Augustana, marking the first games at Griffon Softball Field in 2026. The Griffons remain home the following weekend to host Fort Hays State on March 14 for its MIAA conference opener doubleheader,
Conference road games gets underway on March 20–21 at Northeastern State and Rogers State. The Griffons return home March 27–28 for MIAA series against Central Missouri and Nebraska–Kearney.
April features a mix of road and home contests, including road trips to Newman, Central Oklahoma, Washburn, and Emporia State. Home series in April include Missouri Southern on April 10, Pittsburg State on April 11, and a midweek home doubleheader against William Jewell on April 29 to wrap up nonconference action.
The regular season concludes May 1 with a road doubleheader at Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Missouri.
