NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its annual cross country All-Academic Awards, and Missouri Western had both its teams and three athletes recognized on the list.

On the men's side, the Griffons achieved USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors for the third consecutive year after boasting a team grade point average (GPA) of 3.389 in the fall semester. Seniors
Mason Orscheln and
Joshua Zachary both became two-time All-Academic Athletes this season, making them the only two male athletes to achieve this feat.

The women's cross country team earned All-Academic Team recognition for the third year in a row after collecting a team GPA of 3.681 this past season. Senior
Lillian Cutler received All-Academic Athlete honors for the second consecutive year. She joins
Abby Kinney as only the second female runner to achieve this distinction twice.
