TOPEKA, KAN. – Missouri Western State University overcame a doubles team point loss Friday, May 10, to move on in NCAA Division II preliminary round action.

Anais Peralta Criado (Sevilla, Spain), sophomore
Cristina Granero Boj (Malaga, Spain), and graduate student
Maria Saez (Alicante, Spain) to rebound from the early 1-0 deficit against Great American Conference champion Southeastern Oklahoma State University. They each rolled to straight-set victories on Washburn University's tennis courts including Saez who moved to 20-0 and Granero Boj who surrendered only five game losses in a rock-solid set of triumphs that lasted around an hour and a half each.
The Griffons clash with MIAA rival Washburn University Saturday, May 11, at 3 p.m. It will mark the program's third straight regional final appearance with the victor advancing to Altamonte Springs, Fla., for the final 16 portion of the championships.
