HAYS, Kan. - The undefeated and 20th-ranked Griffon soccer team (12-0-2, 7-0-1 MIAA) played to a 0-0 draw on the road against the Fort Hays State Tigers (6-4-4, 3-3-2 MIAA) on Sunday afternoon. MWSU had its program-best 11-game winning streak snapped but tallied its sixth consecutive shutout at the FHSU Soccer Stadium.

"It was a tough road trip," head coach
Jacob Plocher commented. "We need to be able to finish chances and play a bit more composed." Plocher added, "We are always happy to get points each game, and we are ready to be back in Spratt next weekend!"

Missouri Western controlled the possession battle for over 52% of the time and outshot the Tigers 11-4. The Griffons also earned five corners but were called offside four times in the defensive showcase.

Keeley Kroonenberg (10-0-2) collected her sixth straight clean sheet for the Griffons in goal. The senior also provided a spark for the offense with a pair of shots, with one of them on goal. Seniors

Western will return to action next Friday at home for its first-ever meeting with the Pittsburg State Gorillas (6-5-2, 2-3-2 MIAA). Kickoff from Spratt Stadium is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
