HAYS, Ks. — The best season in Griffon Tennis' recent history just keeps getting better.
Missouri Western made quick work of Fort Hays State with a 7-0 sweep this Saturday afternoon at the FHSU Tennis Courts. The No. 57 Griffons (14-4, 5-2 MIAA) took the the doubles point with wins in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles right out of the gates. The only Tiger win of the day came in No. 1 doubles when Irina Alfonso Maria Diaz Paz defeated MWSU's team of
Anya Chavez and
Isabella MacGibbon.
No singles matches went more than two sets and all were in favor of the Griffons. The only singles shutout of the day went down when MacGibbon beat Fiorella Mendez 6-0, 6-0.
