LITCHFIELD, Az. — Heading into day two of the SMSU Spring Invitational, Griffon Women's Golf is tied for second place with a team score of 324, 16 behind first place Nebraska-Kearney.
Missouri Western's Allyica Gan is tied for third place with a score of 76, just one off from UNK's Paige Lucero and Faviola Gonzalez. Julie Hofmanova is tied for 11th with and not too far behind shooting 80. Anna Bech, Florence Phan, Madi Vine and Ady Crough sit with a score of 84 and are tied for 31st.
As for Griffon Men's Golf at the Warrior Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada, they sit alone at seventh place with a score of 309. First-place Washburn is just ahead with a 304. Northeastern is tied for third with a 307.
Tom Buffington, Jett Simmons and Jeffery Johnston are knotted at 22nd with round one totals of 77. Matt Thoms is tied at 33 with a score of 78. Cristoffer Rudosky is tied for 44th with a 79, and Jake Mikesch's score of 84 has him tied for 85th.
The final day of play for both invites begins today with both MWSU programs very much in contention for a top-three-or-higher finish.
