SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Missouri Western women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Central Region Preview Tuesday at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield.
The Griffons shot a 325 in round two on Tuesday to finished with a two-round total of 641. MWSU was able to get two big head-to-head victories at the regional preview as they defeated Harding by stroke and Oklahoma Baptist by two. The Griffons are battling with those two teams for one of final NCAA regional spots. In the latest Central Regional Rankings, Harding was eighth, Missouri Western was ninth and OBU was at No. 10. The top six teams in the regional rankings finished in the top six spots Tuesday as Arkansas Tech won the tournament with a 604.

Allycia Gan finished in a tie for 13th place as she shot a 9-over par 81 on Tuesday and finished with an 11-over 155. She finished just five strokes out of second place.
Anna Bech had the low round of the day for MWSU with an 8-over par 80 as she finished tied for 28th with a two-round total of 158. And
Ady Crough was just one shot back of Bech as she shot an 81 Tuesday and finished in a tie for 32nd.
Missouri Western will now get set for the postseason as they'll compete at the MIAA Championship next week. Round one of the tournament will begin on Thursday, April 22 at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
