KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Griffon tennis (5-3) defeated Rockhurst (1-2) 6-3. Missouri Western has now won five of its last seven matches.
 
MWSU started off fast with wins at #2 and #3 doubles. Joanna Abreu Roman and Karolina Strom picked up their sixth win of the season in #2 doubles 8-6. Federica Salmaso and Emilee Dent also won their doubles match 8-6. Salmaso and Dent's win changed the matches momentum and propelled the Griffons to the win.
 
Joanna Abreu Roman remains undefeated at 6-0 on the season after her win at #3 singles. Federica Salmaso and Karolina Strom both won their singles matches in straight sets. Bojana Vuksan clinched the match winner for the Griffons with a win at #1 singles. It is Vuksan's sixth win of the season.
