The Griffons – Missouri Western is currently tied for second in the MIAA heading into the final four games of the regular season. The Griffons will continue to rely on their four big attackers to help give them balance offensively.
Jessie Thorup and
Erica Rottinghaus each tally at least 3.50 kills per set ranking each of them in the top 10 in the MIAA. Also, the Griffons have
Kelsey Olion and
Amanda Boender recording at least 2.25 kills per set. MWSU's offense is set up through setter
Jordan Chohon who is averaging a league best 11.88 assist per set.
The Griffons continue to lead the league in hitting percentage with a .258 average on the season and Missouri Western ranks sixth in the conference by holding their opponents to a .195 hitting percentage. MWSU ranks third in both assist per set and kills per set averaging 13.12 and 14.15 respectively.
The Tigers – Fort Hays State is currently sitting in seventh place in the MIAA. Mallory Flagor is averaging 3.26 kills per set ranking her tenth in the MIAA and leading the Tigers offensively. Also making contributions for the Tigers are Rebekah Spainhour and Taylor Mares each averaging over 2.00 kills per set. FHSU has two setters with Kristin Conor and Libby Ary each averaging over 4.50 assist per set. On defense the Tigers have five players averaging over 2.00 digs per set. Keanu Bradley is ranked third in the MIAA with 5.46 digs per set.
The Lopers – The Lopers come into the weekend sitting tied for first place in the MIAA with Central Missouri. Nebraska-Kearney have six players averaging at least 2.20 kills per set. They are led by Kinslie TeKolste with an average of 3.13 kills per set. The offense is run through Erin Seele who has accumulated 1064 assist this season for an average of 11.69 assist per set ranking her second in the conference. Nebraska-Kearney hold their opponents to a league best .126 hitting percentage and also top the league in assist per set averaging 13.50.
