Simpson had an outstanding weekend helping the Griffons to a three game sweep over the Emporia State Hornets. Simpson had seven hits in the three games which included four in the first game. He had a triple, home run and two singles along with three RBI and three runs scored. In the Griffons 12-2 victory on on Sunday Simpson went 3-for-5 with two doubles one RBI and three runs scored. Simpson hit .583 with seven hits with four being for extra bases.
